Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections reports certification of the Post-Election Voting System Audit by the 2024 Canvassing Board for the Primary Election.

All races within 19 randomly selected precincts were chosen for the automated independent audit.

The certification of the audit indicated 100% accuracy without any indication of a problem or discrepancy.

“Once again, the professionalism of our team of dedicated election professionals is upheld through the accuracy and certification of the Post-Election Voting System Audit. The public can have confidence that elections held in Lake County are accurate as well as transparent,” commented Hays. “I want to urge those who have lingering questions or doubt to schedule a facility tour to learn first-hand the facts of election administration,” further commented Hays.

The Post-Election Voting System Audit will occur on Wednesday, August 28th at 8:30 a.m. at 1898 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL. The public is invited to observe. Space is limited.

Lake County Supervisor of Elections, Alan Hays, has been notified of individuals walking through neighborhoods presenting themselves as officials inquiring about who people voted for.

“It is so unfortunate that some people resort to such tactics, which serves only to undermine voter confidence” stated Hays. 

Supervisor Hays elaborated further saying, “The voters of Lake County should be assured that the Canvassing Board has certified the 2024 Primary Election Unofficial Results and there have been absolutely no problems with any aspect of the recently concluded election.  Everything related to the election and the compilation of the results worked very well.”

Hays further advises that his office does NOT canvass neighborhoods asking who you voted for! This misrepresentation of a governmental office/official is shameful and the individuals engaging in this activity should be ignored. Please call the police or sheriff to report any such activity.
